On Thursday, at precisely 1pm, KEXP’s DJ El Toro (which mean “The Bull” to you gringos), aka: Kurt B. Reighley, will be slipping on a pair of KBCS sanctioned headphones and engaging in a meandering, subversive, and inspiring discourse on all things Americana. We will no doubt discuss Steampunk, chickens (which seems to be an ongoing theme here at KBCS), Pendleton wool shirts, cocktails, the best burlesques to take your mothers to, and of course the difference between a chevron and a walrus–mustaches, that is.
This is a momentous interview not to be missed, unless brightly flashing lights send you into convulsions.
Live on The Outskirts with Iaan Hughes at 1pm, and always streaming and archived at www.kbcs.fm
Post Scriptus ~ Mr. Reighley will be reading and signing his book “The United States of Americana” at Elliott Bay Bookstore on Friday, October 1st. He will also be having a book release party at the Sunset Tavern no less on Thursday, October 7th where he’ll be joined by other Seattle luminaries such as Rachel Flotard, Mark Pickerel, and Squirrel Butter to just name a few. Seriously, you aren’t doing anything half as cool on either of those nights.
