Ginny Hawker – After It’s Gone

Much has been made of all the differences between folk, and blues, and country, but not by Ginny Hawker. Her latest album, “After It’s Gone”, is no exception and the listener is left pondering, not about separateness, but, instead that all this “Americana” music is drawn from the same well. She’s cut from the same Virginia cloth as the Carter Family and I hope in some parallel universe she’s as wildly popular as they were.

It just so happens that Ginny and long time musical partner, and New Lost City Rambler, Tracy Schwarz will be performing over at Kenyon Hall in West Seattle on Thursday, May 13th, 2010.
